Sadie Kennedy is a 17 year old Burnout who looks a lot like Cara Delevigne.
Aloha, Sadie.
Sadie Kennedy is a name known to many at Akamai Boarding School. Not because she’s popular. Not because she’s great at sports. And certainly not because she gets good grades. Sadie is well known at Akamai because she’s one of the very few students at the school that doesn’t try at all. She’d get high than do her homework, and get drugs from her dealer instead of going to class. No one is even sure how she got into Akamai, but most assume her parents bought her way in. Sadie doesn’t tell anyone, she doesn’t trust anyone enough to. She’s usually off on her own, smoking a blunt or giving herself a new ear piercing with a safety pin she found in her room. Being reckless, as most of the Akamai kids say. A lot of the students are afraid of her, they act as if she’s some sort of contagious creature and if they get too close they might turn in to someone just like her. Sadie doesn’t mind, though. She’d rather be alone than surrounded by the fake people that make of most of the Akamai student body. However, she’s found that she gets along better with the guys rather than the girls. That leads most to label her as a slut.
Aloha ‘ino.
Sadie was an outcast long before Akamai. She never had any friends, even at a young age. Her siblings- they were all popular. Everyone loved her brothers, though it seemed as if everyone forgot about her. In order to deal with the pain, Sadie found herself falling into the mad world of drugs. And at the young age of only thirteen, she was already rolling herself joints and getting home at three in the morning. Her parents had no knowledge of this, not until she was fifteen. And when they found out they were appalled that their baby girl could do such a thing. They sent her straight away to Akamai hoping she’d get better at a Boarding School known for their academic successes. However, this was not the case. She constantly tells her father to take her back home, that being at Akamai is worse, but her parents won’t have it. She’s stuck at the dreadful school until graduation and she’s sicken by the thought of it. Due to being forced to stay in a crumby school such as Akamai, it has led Sadie to develop her sour personality and cold exterior. She constantly makes sarcastic remarks and tends to be condescending especially if it involves underclassmen.

Blythe Harrison is a 17 year old Popular that looks a lot like Camila Cabello.
Aloha, Blythe.
Blythe is a natural-born prankster. She’s filled with trickery and mischief. Her hobby? To fool around. She’s filled with such energy and stamina… it seems this girl runs with batteries. She has a really contagious laugh, it makes anyone with a frown turn it upside down. Though funny and easygoing, you should pack some aspirin if you want to hang out with her.
Aloha ‘ino.
Blythe used to be very popular in school, although all of her friends were actually hypocrites. They wanted to hang out with her just because she was cool, but they actually envied her. It seemed that everyone hated that she always had a smile on her face.
In time, she grew tired of everyone and quit the in-crowd. From then on she rolled alone, but remained very well-known for being the rebel of the school. She pranked everyone, broke the rules, and forgot about her grades.
5-Word-Description: Mischievous, Clever, Funny, Rebellious, Carefree

Lux Chambers is a 17 year old Artist that looks a lot like Kendall Jenner.
Aloha, Lux.
Lux has always been a very privileged girl. With a brain surgeon for a father and a journalist for a mother, she had a very wealthy upbringing. Lux and her family lived on the hilltops of San Francisco, residing on some of the best residencies around. Of course, she’d always gone to a very expensive, top-notch school, but Lux felt she needed something… more. She’d always been a very adventurous girl, and wanted to try something different; something a bit out of her comfort zone.
Aloha ‘ino.
Although Lux has been given very blessed and special opportunities, she doesn’t like to talk or use the advantage of her family’s wealth. She feels as if she has to work for her rewards, rather than being handed them. She’s very cheerful and outgoing, with a very charismatic aura. Lux loves meeting new people, although at times she can be a bit reserved or shy. She’s always willing to help someone or be their shoulder to cry on, resulting her her many visits to shelters, helping out with charity events, or supporting her school. She’s a very giving, level-headed girl with good intentions. Lux is very curious to how things are going to be in Hawaii, and she can’t wait for the start of an adventure.

Kai Peace is CLOSED
![Picture](/uploads/1/9/5/0/19505895/7453180.gif)
Kai Peace is a 17 year old Jock that looks a lot like Britt Robertson.
Aloha, Kai.
The second his feet touched down on American soil, Jack knew his duty. After spending years of military service away from his beloved, Jack Peace was more than ready to ask his one and only, Emily Claude, for her hand. The couple retired to the island of O’ahu and there, they were finally able to welcome a long-awaited child, Kai. But as soon as Kai came into the picture, the family began falling apart. Regardless of the perfect family portrait they sent out on their first Christmas together, with Kai just shy of four months old, the relationship between Jack and Emily was crippled. You know how parents who divorce always say that it wasn’t the fault of the child, but only that the adults grew distant? In this family, the child was the problem. While Kai quickly and evidently became Jack’s new favorite, Emily began to grow jealous of her daughter. No amount of effort she put into trying to love Kai was enough to help her look past the fact that she hated the baby that was coming between her and her husband.
Nearing Kai’s first year out of the womb, Emily felt she’d had enough. In the dead of the night, the resentful mother crept into a quietly sleeping Kai’s room and clasped her hands around the baby’s neck. Upon chance, Jack woke up only moments after Emily created a void in their bed. Curious as to where his wife had gone, he stepped into the hall and down to check the nursery. The sight he saw did not come utterly surprising to him. It explained the reason why his wife was constantly pessimistic and uncaring toward their daughter; he’d previously thought she was always feeling too tired to care. Now he knew the truth and there wasn’t another second to waste. He pushed Emily out of the way and rushed to Kai’s aid. Willing himself to believe there was a God and praying his daughter would be okay, Jack looked over the edge of the cradle and met relief upon seeing that she was coughing lightly—a sign that she was still breathing. Turning back to his wife, Jack uttered the words he never thought he would to the woman he thought he’d spend forever loving, “Leave.” As soon as he saw what she was trying to do, he knew there was no room for her Kai’s life, let alone his own. No one outside of the pair knew the truth behind their separation, always having thought they were the perfect match, but everyone slowly began accepting their broken marriage as time slid by.
Kai was very open and content with how the household ended up being filled by just her and her father. Jack felt no need to conceal the truth from her. Knowing that she didn’t cry once after having been nearly choked to death by the woman she would forever know as her mother assured him that she was strong enough to know the truth. “Do you know what ‘Kai’ means? It means ‘the sea’. You are strong like the waves that crash against the shore. Your will to love and learn stretches around the world, like the vastness of the waters. You are Kai—you are the sea,” he preached. His talks were always plenty enough for her to keep living day-to-day, carrying the knowledge she did.
There was no helping that Kai would grow up to be much like her father. The two shared a very close bond and were sometimes mistaken for siblings with an incredible age gap. Every time, Kai had to point her thumb to him and announce that he was, in fact, “just Dad”. They were best friends and being raised by him and only him nearly guaranteed that she was going to turn into an all-star, and she loved it. Every second she spent playing soccer or volleyball, or surfing, she loved it. Partaking in sports was easily the one of the best things in her life. Her father took things to another level when enrolling her at the highly-acclaimed Akamai Boarding School. With some of the best sports programs Hawaii had to offer, Kai couldn’t complain.
Aloha ‘ino.
Though competitive in athletics, Kai sees no point in the comparing of status symbols and whatnot. She might be listed as a jock, but she never takes to ranking people above or below her. Almost always deemed “one of the guys” and one of Akamai’s friendliest faces, it’s easy to see why she has friends in an assortment of cliques. But being one of the guys isn’t always fun. Everyone knows that guys are always the ones to get friend zoned, but because Kai is called “dude” here and “bro” there, she’s always the one that’s friend zoned. She’s the kind of girl that guys play “Are You Nervous?” with and then laugh hysterically about later because they could never think something else of it. If she told you it didn’t bother her, she’d be lying; she’d love to be the apple of someone else’s eye, but doesn’t see it happening for herself. For the most part, she gets along with everyone—minus those who are a little in over their heads about themselves. Arrogance and jealousy have never been traits she admired of others—likely a subconscious development from hearing the story of her mother’s envy. One could expect hostility and irritability from her if she were to be around one of said types of people.
Aloha, Kai.

Kelly Ryder is OPEN
![Picture](/uploads/1/9/5/0/19505895/9165943.gif)
Kelly Ryder is a 17 year old Burnout who looks a lot like Leighton Meester.
Aloha, Kelly.
Kelly Ryder. What words can truly describe the girl? How can one put a finger on her when she barely even knows herself? Growing up in Ontario all her life, at first her life wasn’t too difficult. It was just her father, mother, older brother, and herself. A typical family right? But not so much. Unfortunately for them, her mother was pretty abusive. The woman would come home drunk every night. Kelly would always try to tell herself that she just didn’t know what she was doing…but it still didn’t make it any less painful. Kelly would get not only beat up on a pretty consistent basis, but called names that no mother should ever call her daughter. But see, Kelly’s brother Dan was smart. The moment he could, he ran away. They were never particularly close, but it still hurt Kelly that he didn’t take her with him. That only left one kid for her mother to take her shit out on, and the pain only intensified.
No one ever seemed to notice, but after a few years of dealing with a deadbeat mom and a too tolerate father, Kelly changed. She used to try to do anything, anything at all that would please her mother in some way. But it never was enough. So, Kelly just gave up. If you can’t beat them, why not join them? Finding her own release, she started out small. Only smoking cigarettes and taking a drink every once in a while. But as the beating and the emotional abuse became more frequent, it wasn’t enough. She turned to harder drugs, mostly weed and on occasion a little E. It was her safety.
Aloha ‘ino.
Kelly really isn’t as spaced out as everyone seems to think. If she wanted to, she could easily be one of the smart people in her class. But she doesn’t want to be. It’d only be more room for failure. At least when you’re a burnout no one expects anything from you. There isn’t really a time when she’s ever sober either. There’s always something in her system. In fact, Kelly doesn’t remember the last time she was “herself.” Why be that person if you don’t like who she is? She figures that if her own mother hates her, who would ever care for the real Kelly?
When you get to know Kelly past all that, she’s not too bad. She loves to crack a few jokes, and can never fail to cheer you up. She’s not always serious or deep, but she has her moments; particularly after a massive hit. She’s not one for judging people either, considering that is what happened to her for so long. So yes, there are cliques, but if she likes you…well then she likes you. Congratulations.

Helen Adams is OPEN
![Picture](/uploads/1/9/5/0/19505895/3132340.gif)
Helen Adams is a 15 year old Burnout who looks a lot like AnnaSophia Robb.
Aloha, Helen.
Helen had always been surrounded by a rough lifestyle. It was almost as if both her parents took turns being in rehab. But even when they weren’t getting help, though it never worked, they seemed to rarely ever be at home; that left Helen’s care to be in the hands of her older brothers. Though, her oldest was only three years older than her. Her brother was nowhere near mature enough to handle all 3 of the Adams siblings. Though, Connor, her eldest brother, still tried, and ended up maturing a lot quicker than he would have liked to. But with that, that left a lot of spare time on Helen’s hands. She promised herself she’d never end up like her parents, but still, what could be so special about these drugs that pushed her parents away from her? From what she remembered, they used to be quite loving. She remembers one Christmas in particular, about a year before they started going downhill. All she wanted was a Barbie house. But of course, it was rather expensive; the Adams have never been the richest. But on Christmas morning, what did she wake up to? Well, a Barbie house. But that didn’t last long. The whole family seemed to fall apart. Curious, she found her father’s secret stash of weed. Sure, he’d probably notice, but she didn’t care. She stole a bit, and ended up trying it. Though to be honest, she didn’t really like it. But, when her father found out, he was furious. So, he decided to send Helen off to Akamai Boarding School.
Aloha ‘ino.
While still not a fan of drugs, she does them anyways; whether it’s in hope of making her closer to her parents or trying to be “cool,” Helen doesn’t know. She’s still a newbie at it though, so she doesn’t quite fit in with her fellow burnouts. If she had it her way, she’d be a thespian. Though, she never had the opportunity to get on stage. She just has big dreams. When you get to know the girl, she’s actually pretty sweet, well at least to the people she can tolerate. Helen can be a bit feisty, so you better not say the wrong thing, she’ll let you know if you do. Not to mention that you’ll know whether she likes you or not. Helen isn’t one to be fake, and if she doesn’t like you, then she’s not quite as sweet as she seems to her friends.

Sophia Durand is a 16 year old Bookworm who looks a lot like Selena Gomez .
Aloha, Sophia.
Sophia was always the innocent one in school. She would just sit and color, and never really talk to anyone. She was kind of anti social as a kid, because she was different than the rest of the kids. She knew that she was different, because when fathers day came around, she didn’t have a father to give it to. She was adopted when she was born by her two mothers, and she was made fun of in elementary school, and once the grade began, she hid from them. No one really saw her in 2nd grade, she was normally hid in the bathrooms, or sitting in the corner, alone, reading. Her life was hard, that was for sure.
Aloha ‘ino.
Just when she thought her life was going upwards, well as much upwards as an antisocial bookworm could get, it dropped. Her mothers took a ‘vacation’ and left her at their old apartment, moving out and taking all their stuff when she was out at the coffee shop, or the library. When she returned, nothing was left, and, there was a stack of money. Since then, she has been living off the bits of anything she could find, and sleeping in the library. Sometimes she barely makes it to school, and sometimes she just skips it. She hasn’t given up, but has tried suicide many times. Keeping her nose in a book is the only thing that can keep her from the outside world, and being antisocial is her shield.

Tracy Gibbs is a 18 year old Popular/Cheerleader who looks a lot like Troian Bellisario.
Aloha, Tracy.
Tracy Gibbs was pretty much destined to be popular. Growing up with Ashley Wood, the two quickly became best friends. Or, at least as close to Ashley as one could get. But it wasn’t until high school that Tracy started to develop into herself. She was starting to separate from Ashley, and not just be her sidekick. She signed up for cheerleading, not really sure if she’d be any good. But as it turned out, all those years of gymnastics really paid off. The girl had talent, and was quick to make her way to the top. Finally head cheerleader, she can make her own rules, no longer having to abide by Ashley. So, to avoid the other populars, and the people she has come to on occasion loathe, she devotes herself entirely to cheerleading. She’s one of the nicer populars, and while not in front of the others, will typically have a normal conversation with anyone, from any clique. She’s grown up, and is sick of the immaturity that goes along with high school cliques. But since she is all grown up, there is one person who has caught her eye.
Aloha ‘ino.
One day, a few years ago, Tracy went grocery shopping with her mom. Should be a typical trip, right? But no, it really wasn’t. After being sent off to get the milk, Tracy went, accidentally bumping into the gorgeous older man, Wyatt Smith. They flirted a bit, and finally he asked for her number. She of course gave it to him, thinking nothing of it. But when he called her the next day, it turned into something way more. After a few dates, she was head over heels for him, but if only it could be so easy. He was married, with even a few children that were just a little younger than Tracy. She didn’t care though; she figured he’d leave his wife for her any day now. But with years and years of him promising that, and with him doing nothing, she finally figured out that he never would. Tracy called the relationship off, but of course it couldn’t just end that way. They are officially done, but she still seems him on occasion, and can’t help but obsess over him. Unfortunately, this all stops her from seeing the great guys around her that are her own age. But in her mind, Wyatt Smith is the one.
Rachel Wood is OPEN
![Picture](/uploads/1/9/5/0/19505895/8841320.gif)
Rachel Wood is an 18 year old Thespian who looks a lot like Jennifer Lawrence.
Aloha, Rachel.
When you’re raised by two actors, it’s only natural that you’d be one too, right? Well in Rachel’s case that is what she always assumed. She would visit her parents on their movie sets and dream about being there herself, but this time as the lead actress. The moment she went to elementary school, she auditioned for her fist play. But, things didn’t go quite the way she expected. She was casted as tree #2. What? No, it couldn’t be true. But it was. After that, she went home to cry to mom and dad, and with their status went to talk to the teacher. From that moment on, it looked like she was going to be the lead. But, even at that young of an age, it didn’t feel right. If anything, it was just awkward being up there. At all the funny parts, no one laughed and she couldn’t keep a serious face. Everyone would comment on what a wonderful job she did, but Rachel knew in her heart she was god awful. But still, to make her parents proud, she kept up with it; and all because of her name she would get the lead role every time. After her sophomore year, Rachel started to develop depression. Everyone in her theatre classes hated her, and she never felt like she succeeded in anything. Wanting to break free, she begged her parents to send her off to Akamai, and thankfully they agreed. Though, that was only when they found out about the drama department, signing her up for it right away.
Aloha ‘ino.
While she may not be an actress at heart, she still has the personality of one. Rachel Wood is extremely outgoing, and within a matter of moments you’ll feel like you know the girl. She has away about her that makes everyone feel special, as if she chose you to be her best friend for a reason. Rachel isn’t one to pay too much attention to the cliques, though she tends to avoid the populars and the burnouts. Rachel on a daily basis though isn’t too happy. She can’t pinpoint when it happened, but it’s even hard for her to get up every day. Rachel hates it so much, and hates that this depression is taking over her mind, but there’s nothing she can do about it. She believes that she’s too strong for medication, and there’s nothing to talk about in therapy. She knows that other people have it so much worse than her, so why should she be weak and come out with her sufferings?
Aloha, Rachel.

Samantha Klein is OPEN
![Picture](/uploads/1/9/5/0/19505895/7391454.gif)
Samantha Klein is a 17 year old Outcast that looks a lot like Candice Accola.
Aloha, Samantha.
Samantha Klein was your average “All American Girl”. Born on June 2nd in Sherwood Alabama to parents Grace and Timothy Klein and then 3 year old brother John, Samantha had the ideal childhood. Spending her days on the sprawling Klein property- once owned by her grandfather- the blonde didn’t have a care in the world. She absolutely idolized her older brother, wanting to do everything he did, hanging on his every word. He taught her to climb trees and ride a bike and would carry her on his back whenever her feet got tired when they went ‘exploring’ in the backyard. He taught her how to put the chicken eggs in the basket without breaking them and how to pitch a baseball. He was her everything. Where there was Sammy, there was John. Never had they been an independent force.
It was never, “Samantha” or “John”. For their entire lives, it was always “Sammy and John”. “Samantha and John are out by the river”, “Get Sammy and John in here to wash for dinner”. They were a single unit, and everyone knew that. At school, Samantha never got a lick of trouble from the boys in her class. They never tugged on her braids or incorporated her name into their “k-i-s-s-i-n-g” songs, because they knew John. They knew John would protect Samantha with his life, and Samantha knew it too. John would do anything she asked him too. John would climb as high as he could to pick her the prettiest apple and share his ice cream with her when she dropped hers on accident.
When Samantha had the idea to make a secret clubhouse, John, of course, was all for it. They stayed up late the night before brainstorming what to name their very special club (The Strawberry Dugout- after their love for strawberries and baseball) and where such a place should be. Long after the moon had risen and rain began to fall, they decided on the other side of the river. To them, that was exotic. It was foreign and thrilling. To them, no one had ever ventured on the other bank, and they would be the very first to do so. It wasn’t a river so much as a stream on their property, thinning for those couple acres of land before widening out to the mouth of the river a few miles down in Sherribrook. Their parents had always warned them to never play to close to the river or try to swim, and they both knew it. They’d decided, as soon as they crossed the water, they’d move back, so the Strawberry Dugout wasn’t too close to the bank.
The next day, seven year old Samantha and nine year old John trooped down to the river towards the back of their property, hand in hand, sometimes breaking into a few skips or runs out of excitement.
After walking the bank for only a few hundred feet, they found their ticket of entrance. A log from one bank to the other. Where the log began, the bank of the river sloped down at a sharp, steep, angle, into the rushing water below. The river flowed angrier that day as a result of the storm the night before, and John suggested they turn back. She couldn’t though. She couldn’t pass up the chance. They were right there, and she pushed and pushed until John finally surrendered and agreed to cross the river with her. She could taste the triumph of crossing the river, and she had to.
